Last Thursday I became the proud owner of a 1/4 share in an awesome little Cessna 150. For those of you who aren’t familiar with general aviation airplanes, the Cessna 150 is a two-seat airplane that was built from 1959 to 1977. These little planes, and the Cessna 152s which followed, have been a staple in the flight training world since their introduction. In fact, according to one source, “More pilots have flown Cessna 150s and 152s than any other single model of airplane.”1 I did a great deal of training in them back in the mid-1990s—including my first solo flight on November 16, 1995. They aren’t fast, but they sure are fun, and affordable enough for someone like me to own and maintain (well me and three other people).
I’ll now have many more stories filling up this section of the site. But for the time being, I hope you enjoy some pictures of N51224.
